Our technology, termed as Automatic In-phase Power Actuation Control (AIPAC) is a proprietary design for which patent application in UK is obtained. Patent application in USA and PCT is pending.

Reason for the Absence of Electronic Wall Switch (Let's get Technical!)

In a standard wall lighting switch installation, only the Live wire is routed to the mechanical wall switch, after which the LIVE wire is routed to the lamp. The NEUTRAL wire, for cost reason, is not made available in the wall switch position. This makes it inherently very difficult to derive power in the wall switch position for any electronic circuitry, by conventional means.

Without a power supply, electronic circuit simply cannot work. This is the reason that there has been no widespread use of wall switch with Remote Control capability or any other electronic control means in the market, in spite of the obvious need for it.

JDO's AIPAC Technology

Very simply, AIPAC allows a low DC power supply to be derived solely from the single LIVE wire, without the need for NEUTRAL wire. With AIPAC, electronic control such as Infra-red, RF, motion detection, and in general home-automation control can be achieved without the penalty of costly, laborious wiring, specialist training etc which are associated with the current implementation of electronic wall switch control.
